I am so excited to be bringing you this round-up of Alice in Wonderland art that is available on Etsy. With the never-ending popularity of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Wonderland art and products are abundant; however, I found that there are also many pieces of artwork that have been misattributed or the quotes are paraphrased and not correct. In this post, I've tried to be very clear about the sources of the quotes on the artwork, whether it be from the original text or one of the film adaptations. There is something here for fans of all types.
TheBest Alice in Wonderland Art
I'm mildly obsessed with this library art card print that features the first and last lines of the book. Only mildly obsessed because I prefer LCC over Dewey, but to each their own ($36.95)
No quotes on this jazzy piece of stylized artwork (prices start at $16)
One of my favorite quotes from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is "but it's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then."
I do love a good piece of floating artwork (prices start at $46)
"It's always tea-time" should be on my family crest. I'm loving this print on a vintage encyclopedia page ($6.54)
"I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are," is a popular quote from Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland.
This one is available in multiple sizes and various colors of foil, including rose gold (prices start at $9.16)
This one includes artwork of the Mad Hatter's hat from the Tim Burton version (prices start at $6.16)
The quotes "She generally gave herself very good advice (though she very seldom followed it)" from the original text and Disney's modified "I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it," are so popular that it makes me wonder if all of us Alice in Wonderland fans are actually the same person.
Modified Tenniel artwork on vintage 1950s dictionary page ($5.90)
Or how about on an antique (read: over 100 years old) dictionary page ($9.46)
This color print has the cutest mushrooms (prices start at $9.87)
There is a ton of artwork of "Do you suppose she's a wildflower?", a quote from the 1951 Disney animated version of Alice in Wonderland.
This embroidered piece is just too cute ($60)
I mean, it just lends itself to embroidery really well ($50)
For a much more economical price, you can get a watercolor print with this quote and add personalization (prices start at $13.10)
"Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast" said the White Queen to Alice in Through the Looking-Glass, and it is also very popular for art.
"Six impossible things" quote with simple branches artwork (prices start at $13.16)
A bit misleading, this print contains this quote from Through the Looking Glass but imagery from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Still, I think it's pretty fun ($28.17)
If we're including things from Through the Looking-Glass, we mustn't leave out Jabberwocky. This one allows you a choice among five different versions of dictionary pages ($13)
Not quite the actual quote ("Alice had begun to think that very few things indeed were really impossible") but a fun, colorful image based on the 1951 Disney Alice (prices start at $15.72+)
Here's a fun fact: While initially the riddle "Why is a raven like a writing desk?" did not have an answer, Charles Dodgson eventually gave one.
"Why is a raven like a writing desk?" print on your choice of dictionary page ($13)
Of course, there are many pieces of art quoted from Alice's discussion with the Cheshire Cat on the subject of madness.
Exchange between Alice & the Cheshire Cat with Tenniel artwork in colour (prices start at $7.41)
"We're all mad here" floating quote (prices start at $46)
"We're all mad here" metal art ($59.99)
"We're all mad here" icon silhouette artwork (prices start at $9.87)
This post wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention at least a couple pieces that read "Curiouser and curiouser."
Simple "Curiouser & curiouser" with disappearing Cheshire Cat (prices start at $9.87)
"Curiouser & curiouser" quote on your choice of vintage dictionary page ($13)
